In work speak, sometimes people take a “mental health day,” meaning they aren’t coming into work because of their mental health. In my old life that meant I just wasn’t feeling work that day; maybe I preferred to play video games instead. But sometimes it means something more serious than that.
You may have noticed that we did not update the past two weeks. I don’t want to get into deep specifics or anything, but Our Mad Life needs to take a hiatus for the time being. Robin has been feeling unstable and needs some time to get her focus back in order to give Our Mad Life the attention it deserves. We don’t know how long this will be, hopefully sooner rather than later.
I want to emphasize that this project is not over; indeed, we wrote a strip just tonight, there are several that have been drawn but not finished and several more written but not drawn. OML is important to both of us, individually and to our relationship. However, like I said, we need to take a Mental Health Day. Please send us your good wishes and thoughts, and remember to not take your mental health for granted!
